For more than 30 years Tall Bennett has
supplied a range of flotation reagents including collectors
and depressants to the Mining Industry in Australia and nearby
countries, with involvement ranging from very early trial
work on new projects to simple replacement of existing reagents
to achieve lower costs. The company is prepared to undertake
trial work on significant projects which may not be likely
to come to fruition until some years in the future. Where
in-house technical capability is not able to handle complex
metallurgical questions which arise from time to time, consultants,
both from Australia and overseas, are employed to collaborate
on these issues.
Base metal sulphide deposits are the main area of our traditional
work. A number of Mining Laboratories around Australia are
well acquainted with the Tall Bennett range of collectors
and are familiar with the significant improvements in grade/recovery
which these products can achieve. Products include collectors
such as Dithiophosphates, Thionocarbamates, Mercaptans, Specialty
Xanthates, and depressants including Carboxymethyl cellulose
and Guar gums etc. New technical work at overseas sites and
research establishments is constantly monitored to seek more
effective molecules than those presently being used and results
in an ever improving product range. Collectors designed specifically
for each site is a normal part of our role in optimising flotation
performance.
An important part of the service offered is provision of
ongoing technical assistance to those projects which are users
of Tall Bennett reagents. This usually takes the form of visits
by consultant laboratories (at our expense) designed to support
the existing products and to determine what further improvements
might be possible in each circuit. |
